Zeng Huichang, the founder of Fuyuan, was born in Ganzi, Baoshan Township, Hsinchu County, a remote and impoverished farming village, with two older siblings and a beloved mother who died at an early age. Losing your mother's love is painful and you never know when tears will come.
When I was 11 or 12 years old, I was carrying a bucket of ice on my back and selling ice in the alleys, streets, and markets barefoot. This falconry, like selling clothes, continued for several years. A few years later he opened a modest grocery store in Kamuzaisaki. It was here that he learned the principles of thrift, hard work, and tenacity, and laid the foundation for his future business.
While running a greengrocer, he began purchasing peanuts from Huanglong, a peanut-producing region, and together with his wife Liu Ruiying, he developed the production of red clay peanuts. His selfless dedication was the greatest comfort in his life.
When he was 41 years old, he started doing business with a long-established store on Dongda Road in Hsinchu, and when the owner sold the store, his entire family went out and fried peanuts by hand day and night for the small store.
With the support of his friends, wife, children, and brother, Fuyuan Peanut Butter's success is not a coincidence, but the result of a lifetime of hard work and hardship.
Currently, the second generation has taken over the business, and their children Zeng Qingmei and Zeng Tinghai are in charge of the factory and store, respectively, inheriting their father's particular taste.
